Chime Lhatso & Michael Scarola

Chime Lhatso and Michael Scarola are a happily married couple, working together at Pop Up CPR.

Born and raised in South India and sharing many similarities with other South Asian women, Chime Lhatso faced distinct challenges in her own country and another set of challenges when she immigrated to another country. Chime has seen how far she has come compared to her mother's generation. Where Chime is able to be in her life wouldn't be possible if she didn't have supportive family and friends. Chime dedicates this art to all the unique, intelligent, compassionate, and strong South Asian women in this lifetime and beyond.

About Chime & Michael’s work “Pop Up CPR Saves Lives: South Asian Women”:

Two things close to my heart are CPR training and women's empowerment. I would like to spotlight both topics by integrating them into a beautiful artwork modestly titled "Pop Up CPR Saves Lives: South Asian Women."
CPR training is not just a skill for medical professionals but a life-saving tool for everyone. Cardiac arrests can strike anywhere, even in the comfort of our homes. The ability to recognize a cardiac arrest, call for emergency medical services, and perform CPR can truly make a difference in someone's life.

I was born and raised in South India and share many similarities with other South Asian women. We face distinct challenges in our own country and another set of challenges when we immigrate to another country. I have seen how far I have come from my mother's generation. Where I am in my life wouldn't be possible if I didn't have supportive family and friends. I dedicate this art to all the unique, intelligent, compassionate, and strong South Asian women in this lifetime and beyond.
